Laughter, country charm, wonderful music and something unexpected make the Dollar Watch Cowboy Jamboree a hit show. The Dollar Watch Jamboree will be presented Saturday September 10, 2011 at 7:00 PM in the Winthrop Auditorium, sponsored by the Winthrop Chamber of Commerce, Winthrop Red Apple Market, and KOZI radio. This 2-hour cowboy comedy and music program is a small town wonder because it is a Big Town Show!
Van Criddle, cowboy poet from Eugene, Oregon will be the guest entertainer at this fall’s Dollar Watch. Van comes from a farming and ranching family. He began riding rough stock; saddle bronc, bareback and bulls, in rodeos throughout the Rocky Mountain west, and spent considerable time as a horse trainer. Van is an award winning poet and winner of the Silver Buckle award at the National Cowboy Poetry Rodeo. He is also four-time champion Teller of Tall Tales at the Lee Earl Gathering in Lewiston, ID. Van will be joined on stage by his lovely wife of 40+ years, Kathy, who is also a warm and charming entertainer.
Horse Crazy Cowgirl Band is Western Music Association’s “Harmony Trio of the Year” 2010. Horse Crazy is the most exciting and accomplished trio in Western Music today! With harmony, musicianship and heart- warming stage presence, audiences come alive every time. Performing Arts Centers and festivals in Washington and Oregon are buzzing with the news. Here is a group with broad appeal, enhancing their efforts to develop bigger audiences! Best of all, they are the local cowgirls from Winthrop!
Dave McClure is a third generation rancher from North Central Washington State. He has been sharing his cowboy poetry and stories since 1995. A multi-talented Cowboy poet, humorist, musician and songwriter, Dave has entertained cowboy gatherings as performer, MC and all around ham. From laughing until you cry to crying from listening to one of his sad poems, Dave uses words and music to take an audience on an adventure into the world of horses, cows and everything western. After experiencing one of Dave's performances you will either be glad that you are a cowboy or wish you were.
The Winthrop Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the 35th Winthrop Auto Rallye this weekend and the town will be filled with all sorts of unique and vintage cars.
